About our Department

The Department of Electronics was started in the year of 1995-1996 in Government Arts College for women, Ramanathapuram By state Government of TamilNadu.This is the first time B.Sc., Electronics course introduced in Government arts and science colleges inTamilNadu. This course was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University at the time of started. The university grants permission to intake the student is 40 and the Government sanctioned six posts (teaching -5,Technical Asst-1)at the time of the course was started. After seven years completed, this college was affiliated under Alagappa University, Karaikudi in the year 2003.

The Department of Electronics offersonly undergraduate program (B.Sc., Electronics), in this B.Sc., Electronics course, we teaching basic topics related to the fundamentals of electronics and semiconductor devices. Since electronics close to technological advancements. This practical course is intended to achieve the basic skills for circuit building and testing. In the second stage ofthe under graduation, analog and digital circuits concepts will be introduced. At the third stage of the under graduation microprocessor and microcontroller /fiber optics communication/communication network will be introduced. The students are exposed to the practical aspects of the subjects through laboratorywork

The primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education in various fields of electronics emphasis on design aspects of electronics system.The department has well experienced and dedicated faculty members with a strongcommitment to Higher education

  • To give knowledge with current and recent technologicaldevelopment inelectronics.

  • To train students in skills related to the electronics industry andmarket
  • Care is taken to ensure that all the students of the department arewell trained to get depth knowledge in electronics circuit’sconstruction and design
